Our Books Continue:

Today, Gwen continues her leadership journey by advocating for individuals and communities impacted by the growing threats of internet crime, cyber fraud, and financial exploitation. These issues affect people globally and across all age groups, with adults aged 35 to 54 reporting high rates of victimization—a growing trend that highlights the emotional and financial risks facing digitally engaged populations. While Gwen’s mission embraces everyone navigating these threats, she places special emphasis on protecting older adults, who often suffer the most devastating consequences.

She channels her decades of wisdom into a mission of community empowerment, using education, public speaking, and narrative storytelling to illuminate hidden risks and inspire resilience.

This mission shines through her compelling book series: The Bangladesh Lover and its sequel, 2, Echoes of Connection. Together, they form an emotionally charged narrative that blends advocacy with real-world awareness. Through Arif and Eleanor’s story, Gwen explores the human cost of online scams and celebrates the strength of those who rise to reclaim their dignity and voice.

Introducing The Bangladesh Lover Book. Edition-1

The back of the book details below:

“The Bangladesh Lover” is a fictional story that follows the journey of the characters Eleanor and Arif. While their story is a work of fiction, the emotional and psychological impact of online scams on older adults is very real. Through their experiences, we explore the complexities of trust, love, and deception in the digital age, shedding light on the vulnerabilities that make older adults prime targets for online scammers. This cautionary tale underscores the importance of awareness and vigilance in navigating the online world.

The financial impact of these scams is staggering. According to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), in 2023, total losses reported by those over the age of 60 topped $3.4 billion. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) estimates that older adults lost up to $61.5 billion to fraud in 2023. It is important to note that these figures represent reported losses, and the actual amount lost is likely significantly higher, as many scams go unreported.

This story was written in remembrance of my good friend Pat, a victim of an online scam.

The Bangladesh Lover 2. Edition-2

The back of the book details below:

In the second part of “The Bangladesh Lover,” the story of Arif and Eleanor continues to unfold across continents and through the digital age. As they navigate the complexities of their relationship, they also confront the harsh realities of online scams and cybercrimes that target vulnerable populations, particularly older adults. This book delves into their journey while shedding light on the broader issue of online scams, cybercrimes, and financial fraud and their devastating impact.

Like in “The Bangladesh Lover” book one, the series characters Eleanor and Arif are fictional individuals. The book uses real-world elements as a springboard for imaginative storytelling and historical fiction. The real-world elements are historical events and settings, with online scams, cybercrimes, and financial fraud serving as the backdrop. These issues are very real in our world today, and awareness must be echoed throughout until a resolution is found.

The back of the book details below:

Mama Africa gets an audience with the King.

Have you ever desired to bow in the presence before the King of all kings and share it all with him?

Growing up in a Christian home and church, I was taught the power that comes from an honest, fervent prayer. Prayer can sometimes be a simple moment in our day that we might just grab and whisper a concern to God. Prayer can be even more powerful when matched up with fasting. God hears us. He honors prayers.
